01 — The problem

Transport companies running light commercial vehicles live with constant compliance exposure: driver time rules, rest requirements, and fines that arrive months after the infraction. The client had commissioned a platform to manage this. The previous developer building it walked away mid-project.

The owner had interviewed us for this build back in April, and at the time, picked someone else. At the start of July he called back. What existed was partially implemented, undocumented and unstable. Deadlines had passed - And clients were already waiting.

What the client said about working with us:

Răzvan Sorescu: "Working with Dataflow Solutions came at a critical point for EvitaAmenda, when I needed someone who could quickly understand a complex project, identify what was missing or not working properly, and, most importantly, find the right solutions.

Before starting this collaboration, I had spoken with several other developers and companies, and the estimates I received were significantly higher, both in terms of cost and development time. Alexandru and Dataflow Solutions managed to take over a challenging project, solve a number of important issues in a remarkably short time, and bring it to a point where I could feel confident about its direction again.

Looking back, choosing Dataflow Solutions was one of the best decisions I made for EvitaAmenda. What I appreciate most is the level of involvement, the straightforward communication, and the fact that whenever a problem comes up, the conversation is focused on finding a solution rather than explaining why something cannot be done."

02 — What we inherited

A partially implemented, unstable codebase
No reliable documentation
Requirements recovered from correspondence and the product itself
A production deadline that had already slipped

03 — Scope of responsibility

Requirements recovery & documentationArchitecture review & stabilizationReal-time GPS data processingDriver-state logic & alertsFleet dashboards & user rolesCompany onboarding & subscriptionsGPS-provider integrationsProduction infrastructure & monitoring

04 — How the rescue ran

Assess

We audited everything. Mapped out what exists against what was promised.

Stabilize

We stopped the daily breakage. Put automated tests around the riskiest paths, and set up proper QA procedures.

Complete

Finish the promised scope through documented milestones.

Operate

Production readiness, monitoring, and a continuing roadmap.

05 — The product

Fleet administration in EvitaAmenda: the driver activity log with status changes and closed segments
DRIVER-STATE LOGIC & ALERTS
EvitaAmenda activity reports: compliance deviations by type and fleet utilisation for the week
FLEET MANAGEMENT & HISTORICAL REPORTING
TESTING
Automated coverage went around the highest-risk paths first: driver-state logic, time counters, alerting. It grew with every milestone, so the critical behavior is verified by machines instead of memory.
PRODUCTION
A staged rollout with monitoring in place before anyone was asked to rely on the system, on documented infrastructure the client owns and controls.

06 — Where it stands

In daily operational use by client companies
Real-time GPS processing running continuously
Follow-on product discussions under way
